Before starting the duplicate driving 

licence process, we should know what we 

need to issue a driving licence.

Additional requirements for the 

application must be, such as.

1. A daily filed out application form.

2. 6 passport size photographs for the 

learner’s licence, Application fee.

3. 1 passport size photograph for a 

permanent driving licence, 

Application fee. 

4. A medical certificate issued by the 

certified government doctor. This is 

mandatory for applicants above the 

age of 40 years.

Applying for a driving licence 

A driving licence in India maybe applied through an 

online process. The Offline application is also 

available to do so; just submit all the required 

documentation to the nearest RTO.

This will be followed by reserved time in order to 

appear for the driving licence test at the RTO. 

Complete the process by paying the fee in order to

take the examination.

After paying fees, you have to give the examination 

live in front of the Officer. You can give the 

examination if you passed the online exam and have 

the Lerner licence.

▪ After giving the live examination in front of officer 

you have to give the application to the RTO office 

that you have manage to pass the exam, and submit 

the form, and get the Government identify proof of

Eligibility for Driving licence :

1. The Applicant must be at least 16 year old, and 

have the consent of the parents or guardian, if 

he is less than 18 year old.

2.Show the birth certificate, pan card, passport , 

Adhar card, 10th class mark sheet.

3.Or a transfer certificate of any school with the 

date of birth printed on it. 

4. A permanent address must be proven by 

submitting copies of Adhar card, passport, or 

self-owned house agreement, electricity bill

issued in the applicant’s name, voter I’d and 

Rashan card.

If I lost my Original driving licence then what 

should I do? 

▪ I will go to the RTO office from where I have 

Issued the original Driving licence. 

▪ I will go there and fill up the duplicate driving 

licence process form.

▪ After filling the form, they ask you to submit 

documents that are needed to attach with a 

form.

▪ You can be asked this Questions that where 

you have lost your, original Driving licence. 

▪ You must give some kind of strong and valid 

reasons, for applying to duplicate driving licence 

form.

▪ After that you have to complete some biometric 

procedures, you have to complete that process. 

▪ And after all this formalities, you will get your 

duplicate driving licence. 

▪ If you can apply online, you can get a long 

process applying to duplicate driving licence 

online too.

▪ If you want Original Licence, You can give the 

Examination again as per my concern that is 

way better than the duplicate driving licence 

process.
